Great Ocean Road & Port Fairy Explorer – Two nights Accommodation and Tour package

Geotours will carry you to our continents edge along the Western Great Ocean Road for one magical day, then introduce you to volcanoes, rock pools and fine eateries in Port Fairy for two nights.

Our continent’s edge was shaped 30 million years ago during the breakup of the Gondwana Supercontinent when Australia began it’s 3000km journey north…. 6 million years ago volcanoes erupted onto the Western Victorian Plain…. 35,000 years ago a massive eruption formed Tower Hill and became part of the story written in stone and folklore.

The package includes a guided tour of the Western Great Ocean Road between the Bay of Islands and the 12 Apostles, where you will discover the evolution of the landscape, the origin of the Southern Ocean and the drama of the Shipwreck Coast. Finally we return to Port Fairy, via the extinct volcano at Tower Hill to spot wildlife in the evening light.
